Similarly, the concept of the sculpture “Echinoidea” derives from the circle of inspiration with the world of nature. Made of melted glass grit (pâte de verre), the work clearly brings to mind the shapes of sea echidnas, and the deep shades of blue, white and delicate purples reflect the colors of the sea in which these creatures live. The work was completed during a workshop with the Estonian artist Piret Ellamaa at the Glass Department of the E.Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
