PINK PANTHER AND BLUE TIGER

SIZE

29x7 cm and 26x8 cm

technique

blown glass

Two small vases entitled The “Pink Panther and the Blue Tiger” attract attention with their intense color and pattern with animal motifs. As the artist herself claims, the source of inspiration for her were her own earlier works, paintings depicting cats and the design of the 1950s and 1960s. The vases were made with metallurgical technique with the use of tracing paper between the glass layers. They were formed by hand, with wooden tools, without the use of a mold, thanks to which they are unique objects. Despite the simplicity of the form, the works have a high decorative value. The work was completed during a workshop with visiting professor Brent Cole at the Glass Department of the E.Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
